How to get a highlander into a hotel
Outlander, Braveheart, Highlander: you can be your own kilted moviestar at AC Inverness in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The hotel is positioned between the river Ness and the beautiful city. The interior links those two characteristics – the light colours, flowy shapes, waves and sparkles connect to the river. Darker colours and more sturdy shapes connect to the city. In various zones of the lobby you can work, relax, enjoy a tasty cocktail or take a rest on the riverside terrace.
The lobby is divided into clear functional zones. From vibrant and light near the entrance to calm and darker in the meeting area. The check-in and bar are highlighted with two “wow” moments: a special art piece floating over the reception and the bespoke bottle display resembling waves above the bar.
Within the brand guidelines of AC there is a special focus on curated art. We have used the interior concept of the river also into the overall art direction in the hotel.
