Big blue bold statement

We added some spice and identity to the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Glasgow. One gigantic blue cabinet is a structural element that organizes the ground floor and provides orientation and privacy. It’s quirky and a wee bit weird, just like our way of thinking as architects.

Meet the needs of professional travelers

The hotel at the Scottish Exhibition Centree meets the needs of experienced travellers looking for space, great amenities and the latest technology. It also has five full meeting, conference and event spaces, holding up to 100 delegates on the first floor as well as a 24-hour fitness centre. The hotel has also features the 80-cover restaurant Hopscotch, featuring Scottish flavours and local ingredients.

Get in the zone

Our spatial concept to add identity to the hotel exists of three zones with distinguished styling. Travelers enter into the Marriott Courtyard lobby where they meet the iconic staircase and connecting cabinet. The cabinet forms a line from private via active to working. The first floor is dedicated to work, where business travelers can use break-out rooms, lecture halls and all you need to get smart and efficient. The rooms offer their own classic Courtyard style that returning customers appreciate. You’ll feel a warm and residential atmosphere.
