APTO was asked to make a new plan for the former Generali office building at Diemerhof 42. The building is another addition to the VIA family: with the recently opened VIA Hotel and the current development of VIA Works next to it, VIA42 is set to become the central meeting place of VIA Village. The VIA42 lobby will be a space where not only tenants of the building come together, but where also neighbors are welcome to have a drink or work in the café. It makes the VIA42 lobby the local heart of the Village. Not only connecting the village vertically, but also horizontally.
A multifunctional area with offices, residences and leisure activities.
The sky is not the limit
APTO added sky lobbies to each pair of office floors for companies to have their private office space with meeting rooms. Each office with a private lift. A general express lift will bring you to the top floor. The sky is the limit by providing tenants several options, such as private office space but also shared office space. The building will be updated to meet modern sustainability standards with BREEAM labels to match ambitions, reflected in the façade design with green roofs, solar panels and a vertical garden.
The Village aims to stimulate tenants to a more sustainable lifestyle; e.g. showers cater for people coming to work by bike. VIA42 aims to provide a full service program so tenants won’t have to leave the office landscape anymore and can fully focus on growing their business. The interconnectedness between the VIA buildings make you feel like you are in a village, grab a coffee at the VIA42 lobby and have lunch at the VIA Hotel. With this, the VIA concept is not an alone standing development. Something that is very important for the future success and sustainability of the area.
